R&B star Ne-Yo has opened up about the unconventional arrangement with his four girlfriends, revealing they’ve chosen exclusivity with him while he maintains his polyamorous lifestyle. The “So Sick” singer explained during a recent podcast appearance that while he doesn’t believe in “ownership” in relationships, all his partners have voluntarily agreed not to date other men.

The 45-year-old artist shared that each woman approached him first about being exclusive. “They came to me and said, ‘I want to be exclusive to you and just you,'” Ne-Yo recounted. He made sure they understood this didn’t mean he would be exclusive in return, and after getting their consent, established certain rules they needed to follow.
While emphasizing open communication, Ne-Yo made it clear he has the final say in their household. If a girlfriend becomes interested in someone else, they can discuss it, but “if I say ‘no’ it’s a no.” The Grammy winner acknowledged he technically has freedom to date others but currently chooses not to, with all romantic connections being thoroughly discussed beforehand.
