A devastating tragedy has struck a family in Minneapolis, North Carolina, leaving them reeling in grief. Melissa Guinn, a devoted mother of four, was swept away by the raging waters of Hurricane Helene, right before the eyes of her husband, Jamie, and their 8-year-old son, River.
The Guinn family had sought shelter in their home on September 27, but the storm’s fury proved too powerful. Their house, situated overlooking a river, was ravaged by mudslides triggered by the hurricane. As the storm intensified, the house collapsed, tumbling down the hillside.
