Melissa Sloan, a 46-year-old mother from Wales, has taken the world of body art to the extreme. With over 800 tattoos covering her entire body, including her face, she’s now facing the harsh reality of her decisions.
Melissa’s tattoo obsession began when she was just 20 years old. What started as a passion soon turned into an all-consuming habit. She admits to getting at least three new tattoos every week, despite struggling to find employment.
Her extensive tattoo collection has made job hunting a daunting task. Melissa claims that potential employers judge her based on her appearance, making it impossible to secure even menial jobs like cleaning toilets.
“I’ve applied for jobs, but nobody wants me because of my tattoos,” Melissa shared. “People assume I’ve never worked, but I have. I’d take any job offer tomorrow.”
Melissa’s facial tattoos, in particular, have become a focal point. With no empty skin left, her face has become a canvas of layered artwork. Her old tattoos have been inked over multiple times, creating a unique, albeit striking, appearance.
Despite the challenges, Melissa remains committed to her art. “If I make it to 70, I’ll still be getting tattoos,” she declared. “Every bit of skin will be covered, even if I turn blue – my face already is!”
