Former First Daughters Malia and Sasha Obama are all grown up and making headlines for their recent night out with rapper Drake. The sisters were photographed partying at The Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles, donning eye-catching outfits that showcased their unique styles.
Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23, have come a long way since their days in the White House. Born into the public eye, they’ve navigated the challenges of fame with poise and confidence. Their mother, Michelle Obama, has been vocal about preparing them for independence.
“I needed to prepare them to take control of their own lives soon,” Michelle Obama shared on the “Moments that Make Us” podcast. “They had to be smart, confident, and independent right from the start.”
Malia, who graduated from Harvard in 2021, has explored her passion for entertainment. She worked as a production assistant on Halle Berry’s CBS drama “Extant” and wrote for the Amazon series “Swarm.”
Recently, she made her directorial debut with the short film “Heart” at the Sundance Film Festival.
Sasha, who graduated from the University of Southern California in May 2023, has also found her footing. The sociology major now lives with her sister in Los Angeles.
The Obama sisters’ night out with Drake wasn’t their first encounter with the rapper. Drake has expressed admiration for the Obama family and even hinted at playing Barack Obama in a biopic. The former president has given his stamp of approval, joking that Drake has his household’s blessing.
At the party, Sasha wore a black cropped corset with cargo pants, while Malia rocked a sheer lace-up top with printed pants. The sisters partied until 4 a.m. with Drake, who was in town for his “It’s All A Blur Big As The What?” tour.
As Malia and Sasha continue to forge their own paths, they’re proving that even former First Daughters can let loose and have fun.
