Moving to a new neighborhood can be a daunting experience, especially when you’re trying to start fresh. My son Mike and I had been through a tough time, and we were looking forward to a peaceful life in our cozy little house. However, our neighbor Linda had other plans.
At first, Linda seemed like the perfect neighbor. She welcomed us with a tray of cookies and a warm smile. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that something was off. Packages started disappearing from my porch, and Linda always seemed to “find” them. The first time it happened, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. But as it continued to happen, I knew I had to take action.
The final straw came when Linda stole a limited-edition Christmas ornament I had ordered for my mom. That’s when I decided to teach her a lesson. I ordered a glitter bomb kit and set a trap for her. The plan was simple: I would wrap the glitter bomb in festive paper, write my name and address on it, and place it on my porch. Then, I would wait.
It didn’t take long for Linda to take the bait. She swiped the package, and the next morning, I woke up to the sound of screaming. I peeked out my window to see Linda covered in glitter, looking like she had been dipped in glue and rolled in a craft store. The sight was priceless.
Linda stormed over to my house, furious, but I just smiled and told her that maybe she should stop stealing my packages. The incident became the talk of the neighborhood, and soon, other neighbors came forward with similar stories of Linda’s package theft. It seemed I wasn’t the only one she had been targeting.
After the glitter incident, Linda kept a low profile. She barely left her house, and when she did, she still had glitter in her hair. As for me, I haven’t had a single package go missing since. Sometimes, a little sparkle is all it takes to set things right.
