Most parents expect their newborns to sleep, eat, and cry during those first precious days. But Nyilah Daise Tzabari had other plans. This extraordinary baby shocked her first-time parents by crawling across her hospital bassinet when she was barely three days old – a milestone most infants don’t reach for six to twelve months.
Samantha Mitchell, Nyilah’s 34-year-old mother from White Oak, Pennsylvania, captured the unbelievable moment on video. “I’ve worked with children for over 20 years and I’ve never seen anything like this,” Samantha told reporters. The footage shows tiny Nyilah pushing herself up on her arms and actually crawling while her grandmother exclaims in disbelief.
Born three weeks overdue on February 27, 2023, Nyilah seems determined to make up for lost time. Her rapid development didn’t stop with crawling – by 18 days she was rolling over, at one month she was smiling responsively, and by three months she was throwing playful punches at her mother. Now the strong-willed infant is already attempting to stand with support.
Samantha admits parenting this precocious baby is unlike anything she expected. “I thought this was normal newborn behavior until everyone told me it wasn’t,” she laughs. With Nyilah currently trying to mimic speech at just seven weeks, this extraordinary child continues to astonish her parents daily.
