In a world where family members usually take different career paths, Seka Black and her daughter Nessi are breaking the mold by working in the same industry—adult entertainment. What makes their journey even more unique is the way they support each other along the way.
Seka Black, now 70, and her 23-year-old daughter Nessi recently shared their experiences in a YouTube video, offering a rare glimpse into their unconventional careers. Seka, known as the “Platinum Princess of Porn” in the 1980s, became one of the biggest names in adult entertainment thanks to her striking looks and bold personality. Her 2013 autobiography, Inside Seka, detailed her rise to fame.

Born and raised with two siblings, Seka described her childhood as normal and quiet. Her family later moved to Hopewell, Virginia, where she was known as “Dottie.” In high school, her beauty and charm won her the title of Miss Southside Virginia, a recognition that set the stage for her future in the spotlight.
Seka’s entry into adult entertainment came after leaving a career in accounting. She simply said, “I retired from accounting, and now we’re having fun.”
Her daughter Nessi, however, had a different experience. She first discovered her mother’s profession during a family trip to Disneyland. While scrolling through her mom’s phone, she stumbled upon explicit messages, which left her both shocked and curious.
“At first, I couldn’t believe it,” Nessi admitted. “But once I put the pieces together, I thought it was pretty cool.”
Since she had always been interested in the industry but wanted to wait until she was older, Nessi started exploring camming at 18 and fully committed to content creation by 20.

Now, both mother and daughter create adult content, primarily on OnlyFans, though Seka also appears in mainstream adult films. While they don’t collaborate directly, they do help each other behind the scenes. Seka’s husband—who is also Nessi’s father—films and edits their content, playing an active role in their success.
Seka laughed, saying, “We have fun because Daddy is my videographer and editor.”
They each bring something different to the table. Seka helps Nessi with financial matters, while Nessi assists her mother with social media and modern technology.
“I remember trying to give you advice!” Seka told her daughter. “But this younger generation is way ahead of us when it comes to tech.”
Nessi left a traditional job to pursue adult content creation, a decision that her parents fully supported. She recalled her mother’s encouragement when she was hesitant about joining OnlyFans. “She told me, ‘Go for it!’”
Despite their strong family bond, working in the adult industry isn’t without challenges. Nessi admitted that things can sometimes get awkward, especially when her mother’s fans message her on social media.
Seka, however, continues to thrive in the industry. She was recently nominated for an AVN Award—often called the “Oscars of porn.” Even though she didn’t win, she looked stunning in a red gown on the red carpet.
As for retirement, Seka has no plans to step away anytime soon. “I take things day by day,” she said, smiling. “I’ll probably stay in for another five years.”
