The Giant Baby of 1983 – Where Is He Now?

Back in 1983, a newborn named Kevin Robert Clark made headlines for his incredible size. Tipping the scales at over 16 pounds, he was the largest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital in New Jersey—and possibly the entire state. While most parents expect a typical 7- or 8-pound bundle of joy, Kevin’s arrival was anything but ordinary.

Despite his massive size, Kevin was perfectly healthy, and his unique story quickly turned him into a minor celebrity. He appeared on popular TV shows like Saturday Night Live and Good Morning America, charming audiences with his larger-than-life beginnings. As he grew, so did his height—reaching 5’7” by age 12 and an impressive 6’5” by junior high.

Now in his 40s, Kevin stands at a towering 6’9”. He’s used to the constant attention his height brings, often joking, “I like to say I’m 5-foot-21.” People frequently ask if he plays basketball, to which he playfully responds, “Do you play miniature golf?” After serving in the military, Kevin now lives a quiet life with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane, proving that even the biggest babies grow up to lead perfectly normal—if slightly taller—lives.
