Barack Obama has arrived at 10 Downing Street in London for a meeting that was not planned.
The 44th president of the United States, who served from 2009 to 2017, was seen Monday afternoon going to the office of the Prime Minister.
Video from the scene showed Obama walking up to the famous black door, but Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wasn’t there to meet him.
People didn’t know right away why Obama went to see Sunak because Downing Street sources wouldn’t say what the secret meeting was about at first.
After the fact, a Downing Street spokesman told the Independent that the visit was just a “informal courtesy drop-in” as part of Obama’s trip to London.

They said: “President Obama’s team made contact and obviously the prime minister was very happy to to meet with him and discuss the work of the Obama Foundation.”
The Obama Foundation is a non-profit group that the former president started in 2014 to help people move up in society.
