The artist whose animal sketches made people cry is back with another one. There are a lot of people who like cartoon artist Jenny Jinya. Her Good Boy and Black Cat strips are the main reason why 163,000 people follow her on Facebook and 203,00 people follow her on Instagram.
Jenny not only comes up with interesting characters and plots, but her sad stories also bring up real problems that people today have with both pets and wild animals. Loss of control. Pollution and loss of habitats. This is just a small list of the problems the artist has already solved. Go to Uhstories.com for more Animal Comics.
The sad new comic she made is about how animals are used in shows. Jenny imagined what life would be like for a cat in a place where the jungle king has to work. What a great job she did showing how mean people can be to the animals we share the world with.

Jenny said that not every show is bad. “Now, huge holograms are inspiring the crowd instead of wild animals.” For example, circus shows with only human acrobats and dancers instead of animals. “I wish this trend would catch on,” she said.
Animal shows are still common in many places, even though new technologies are being brought into the field. The show is also hurting the animals. A charity called Freedom for Animals wants to stop the use of animals in entertainment. They say that touring circuses can travel thousands of miles each year, taking animals from one show to the next in transporters and cages on the back of beast waggon trucks.
“Because they move every week, they spend most of the year in temporary housing.” According to the group’s website, the animals may be kept in their travelling cages for hours or even days at a time, with only short breaks in an exercise box, while they practise or perform. It is not possible for a moving menagerie to give circus animals the care they need.
Jenny picked a lion for this sad joke, but she says she’s speaking for all animals that are hurt for amusement park rides. “Showing a lion or an elephant wouldn’t have made a difference.” Animals should be able to roam freely and sleep in the sun. They should also hunt and look out for their young. The artist said, “They shouldn’t jump through hoops because they will get in trouble if they don’t.”
It is the artist’s intention to bring attention to animal rights and the plight of those who can’t speak for themselves, but some people get a completely different message. This is mostly because publishers and other people are sharing her material without permission. “The problem is that a lot of people only share pages from my comics and not the whole story.” Also, they often skip the last page, which is where I recap the issue and include links to more information or ways to donate. There are people who see this and don’t get the point. They think I only like drawing animals in pain.
This caused Jenny to start getting hate mail. “They don’t know that I’m trying to teach them and get donations.” It’s not their fault, though, and I can generally tell them what my comics are about. If you want to support the artist and the causes she works for, you might want to use Patreon. Jenny even saves 30% of everything she earns to give to animal shelters and groups every month.
