The artist who made people cry with “Good Boy” and Black Cat Comics has just put out a follow-up. Different countries have different ideas about black cats, but in the West, they are usually associated with death, darkness, and bad faith. The artist Jenny Jinya wants to make that different. She doesn’t care what colour the fur is.Going to Uhstories.com will get you more black cat comics.
She made a picture not long ago about a black cat’s life. Jenny made a follow-up because it was so well received the first time.
“Many posters and infographics show different facts about animals that have been abandoned or abused.” She said that many people know about the problems but forget about them fast. “I hope that my cartoons give victims a voice.” I want the pets who were affected to be able to tell their own stories. This is how I plan to raise awareness.
And here’s the sequel
Luckily, things are getting better. A lot of groups, like the Humane Society for Southwest Washington and the Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood, say that black adult cats spend more time on the adoption floor than their coloured counterparts. However, the Halloween torture is becoming more of a myth than a real threat to cats.
Deborah Wood, head of animal services for Washington County, told The Oregonian, “We have no doubts about adopting black cats on Halloween.”
She said that people go to the shelter specifically looking for black cats because they think that the negative stereotypes about them will make it hard for them to find new homes.
A typical rule at an animal shelter is that people who want to adopt a pet must show ID and talk to a worker before they can take the pet home.
Both of these strips were adored by many.
