It is said that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are no longer living together.
People and Access Hollywood say that the actress from “Maid in Manhattan” and the Oscar winner are no longer living together after being married for almost two years.
This news about the relationship comes soon after Lopez, 54, went to the 2024 Met Gala without Affleck, 51, with her. But at the time, the actor’s rep told E! News that he was busy filming The Accountant 2 in Los Angeles, which is why he couldn’t go to the New York City event with the “On the Floor” singer. She co-hosted it with Anna Wintour of Vogue, Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth, and Bad Bunny.
The news about where the couple is living comes just before their second wedding anniversary.
Lopez and Affleck decided to get married again in July 2022 after breaking up for the first time almost 20 years before. The wedding took place in Las Vegas.
“We did it,” the Hustlers star wrote in a newsletter after the wedding on July 17. “Love is lovely. Love is nice. It turns out that love waits. Twenty years of waiting. Just what we wanted.”
“Last night we flew to Vegas,” she said, “stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
The Selena star has 16-year-old twins named Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. The Air director has Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. They got married again in August 2022 in Georgia. This big event in their marriage brought them full circle; they met in the early 2000s and fell in love.
Lopez told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in 2022 that their painful breakup in 2004—which was at least partly caused by a lot of media attention—was very painful.
“Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life,” she said. “I honestly felt like I was going to die.”
Lopez also said that the breakup “pushed me down a dark path where I couldn’t get it right for 18 years.” It did have a happy finish 20 years ago, though. The ending is the most “would never happen in Hollywood.” The two were happy that they were back together, but they both revealed that they had different ideas about what it’s like to be famous.
As Lopez talked about their relationship in the early 2000s in her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, Affleck said, “When we got back together, I told her, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.'” “Then I kind of understood that asking wasn’t fair.”
“It’s sort of like you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water,'” he said. “We’re just two people with kind of different approaches trying to learn to compromise.”
