A teen dad with the word “DEVAST8” written across his face is now “waiting for the right job offer” after his desperate job search went viral. He also said he will have the tattoo removed with a laser.
Mark Cropp, 19, from New Zealand, begged on social media on Wednesday afternoon for someone to grant him a job despite his past crime records and large number of tattoos on his face.
He got a lot of job offers very quickly and said he “stopped counting when he reached 45.”

He told the Daily Mail Australia that he still hadn’t “done a day’s work,” though.
“I’m just seeking the appropriate one,” he explained.

He made it clear that some of the jobs needed him to have his own car, but he will need help getting to the site of the work.
“I won’t be able to get around until I get my first paycheck and buy a car,” he said.
The ex-convict said he will have the art taken down as soon as possible. His brother made it after drinking home-brewed beer in jail one night.
Cropp has taken a full-time job as a scaffolder, according to his girlfriend Taneia Ruki, who spoke to Daily Mail Australia.
“I put a picture of my face on the inside of an envelope a week before I left so my partner could see it. She was heartbroken, but now she likes it and can’t see me without it,” Cropp, shown on the right, said

“I am just setting up a time to get it taken off, which is bad because it hurts,” he said.
In addition, I find it hard to decide to get rid of this tattoo because it has meaning to me and was done by my brother.
«But I know it’s the best thing for me, and I want to be someone my family can count on.»
When he went to jail for a long string of violent behavior, the art was meant to make him “look tough.”

The plan was for a “little one along the jawline,” but the two got drunk on home brew made from apples, sugar, and bread that had been fermented.
“I got four tattoos in jail and got a full body suit out,” he said.
But the tattoo on his face shocked his family the most.

Teenager with DEVAST8 jail tattoo says, “I was going through a rough patch.”
“Everyone I met or got close to would end up in terrible shape.”
“They would be upset about something I did or said—I was always hearing “that’s terrible,”” he explained.
He hopes that the bad parts of his life are over, though, and that the scars on his face are gone too.
“I learned from my mistake,” he proclaimed.
“People should not be judged by the tattoos on their face, but I know that will happen again if I don’t do something.”
Before making his last, frantic plea on Facebook, the teen said that when he asked for work, people “laughed in his face.”
It was drawn with a homemade gun that was driven by a cassette player and had a needle made from a pen spring.
Forks and knives made of plastic are burned until they turn into a black powder. This powder is then mixed with toothpaste and water to make ink.
After two weeks in jail, the teen is now free.
To get rid of the tattoo, Mark has also been given laser therapy. His first session is scheduled for Tuesday (pictured right with his partner).
