Melanie Griffith’s life has been very unusual. Her big movie parts in “Working Girl” and “Paradise” made her famous. She began acting when she was only 12. Her personal life, on the other hand, wasn’t going well. She has been married three times, most recently to Antonio Banderas, and has had problems with drugs.
It was hard for her kids, Alexander Bauer and Dakota Johnson, to grow up, especially since Melanie was having a hard time. Melanie’s mom, Tippi Hedren, was also a big star. She was best known for her role in “The Birds.”
The really strange thing is that Melanie had a pet lion named Neil when she was a kid! Absolutely, that’s correct. The people lived with a cat in their house in the 1970s. Very dangerous, right? It happened that she slept with the lion sometimes. Amazing!
Melanie had a lot of serious relationships too. She married Don Johnson twice after falling in love with him when she was only 14. Then she married Steven Bauer and then she started seeing Don Johnson again. Actually, it’s more like a soap show.
Melanie had a terrible accident in the 1980s while shooting the movie “Roar.” She had to have surgery after being attacked by a lion. What a scary story!
Melanie didn’t let that stop her, though. She kept playing, and for “Working Girl,” she was even nominated for an Oscar.
Her daughter Dakota Johnson also became an actor, just like her mother. But Dakota had a rough childhood because her parents split up. The man she married, Antonio Banderas, became like a real dad to her and gave her security and love.
Even though Melanie and Antonio broke up, they are still very close. Melanie is now writing her autobiography and spending time with her family. In addition, she beat cancer and is a big fan of children’s hospitals.
