Bratty Kid Kicks Their Airplane Seat So He Teaches His Family A Lesson

One of the easiest ways to get around is to fly, but there are times when things go wrong. There will be times when things don’t go as planned, but you have to stay the course once the flight starts.

One problem that could happen is that a child might act up on the trip. It could be a little kid or a bigger child screaming, but when it bothers you, you want some peace and quiet.

That’s what this story from Reddit has to offer. On the trip, there was a boy who kept kicking the chair in front of him. His family was about to learn a lesson.

Required: I’m sorry for the layout, I’m on my phone

A few years ago, my dad and I (14f) were on a plane coming back from India. A family of three was behind us. Their son was behind me, and their mum was behind my dad.

Everyone was tired because it was nighttime. Also, the plane was small and cheap, and there wasn’t much room for legs. After about 10 minutes, the kid behind me starts to kick my seat. He wasn’t really little—maybe 9 or 10 years old. When I tell my dad, he asks him nicely to stop, which he does…for about 10 seconds. We tell him again, this time with more force, but it doesn’t work.

This is the start of the harm. My dad leans back in his seat all the way, and he doesn’t do it when they tell him to. When they call the flight attendant (FA), the jerk dad (JD) talks to him.

JD: This guy sat down, making my wife uncomfortable.

As I talk to my dad, FA asks, “Would you like to turn it down?”

Dad: Sure, go ahead.

FA: Okay, he can if he wants to. Doesn’t matter to him. Enjoy your flight.

The dad is left swearing and sputtering under his breath as he walks away.

Have fun!

Edit: I’m sorry, I didn’t give a good ending, which made a lot of you sad. When the parents found out what had happened, they told the child in a strong voice to stop kicking. Still, they looked at me, my dad, and the flight attendant who walked by with a mean look. For another hour, my dad kept the seat down. But he got up when he was sure the parents had learned their lesson.
