We seem to be stuck in the past with some people, and kid stars are one of them. No matter how they grew up with us, we know that they stopped growing up in our minds at some point.
A lot of people who grew up in the 1970s seem to think of Ricky Schroder as one of those people. He got a Golden Globe for his role in The Champ. After that, he played a part on Silver Spoons.
Scheroder chose to be a more serious character after the show was over. He did play roles in several TV shows, such as NYPD Blue and Scrubs.
He chose to create and direct a project called Black Cloud at one point in the early 2000s. Since he won an award for Best Director, it looks like he was also good at that.
Not surprisingly, his personal life wasn’t quite as great as what was shown on TV. Assault and battery charges were brought against him in 1992 for hitting a woman. At that time, he was said to have hit his partner.
They later got married and had four kids together, but in 2016 they split up. From that point on, Ricky’s life went downhill, and he started partying all the time.
Eventually, in 2019, he was arrested for domestic violence against his lover again and had to pay $50,000 bail. The case was finally thrown out.
He’s been on social media once in a while, but other than that, he’s been pretty quiet. When he shared something on Instagram while wearing a hat and a denim shirt, a lot of people found it humorous. He got nostalgic and talked about his younger years and the things he did.
His picture probably didn’t get the reaction he was hoping for, though. Many people said bad things about him and said he looked rough. Some people, though, said that rough looked good on him.
Ricky Schroder needs to get back on track, no matter what other people think. We wish him the best of luck in everything he does.
