Dog with ‘Italian accent’ proves animals sound like their owners

When a dog showed off what seemed to be a “Italian accent,” it went viral very quickly.

People say that some pets can really talk like birds, and Aaron the husky is a great example of this.

Aaron lives in Italy with his owner Antonia. In a video of Antonia talking to her dog, Aaron seems to respond with an Italian twang.

The video was uploaded in November 2023, and over eight million people have watched it on TikTok so far.

The fact that Aaron’s owner has shared several videos of his amazing skills shows that his “accent” wasn’t a one-time thing.

Everyone quickly said that the two sounds were the same.

Someone asked, “WHY DOES THE HUSKY SOUND ITALIAN ALSO LMAO?” and someone else said, “The husky even sounds Italian as well.”

A third said, “He really likes ‘bo bo bo.'”

Somebody even said Aaron spoke Italian better than them.

“I’ve never heard a Husky whine with a style.” “That’s so cute!” said someone else.

Some tests have shown that animals can really have accents.

The Canine Behavior Center in Cumbria, England, discovered that dogs pick up regional accents from their owners because the way their owners talk affects how the dog speaks.

In 2000, they did a study and taped the sounds of dogs growling and barking.

Finally, these sound samples were compared and analyzed to get to the end result. It was found that dogs copy their owners’ tone and pitch.

Before, Tracey Gudgeon from the Center told The Mirror, “It seems dogs can copy stronger, more distinctive accents better than softer ones.” It helps them bond with their person.

And it looks like other animals have accents too, not just dogs.

Different birds in different parts of Britain make different sounds when they talk.

One example is that mallard ducks in London are said to have a louder quack than mallard ducks in Cornwall.

In other places, farmers have said that their cows in the West Country also speak with an accent.

Sperm whales, orcas, and humpback whales all have accents. Singing gibbons and rock hyraxes are also animals that do.

It has also been found that cats have accents. If you haven’t heard of the Liverpudlian-sounding cat, you should look it up right away.
