The acquisition of the farm wasn’t without its challenges. With no car at their disposal, Patricia’s parents had to hire someone to transport them to the property. Patricia vividly recalls her father’s tenacious negotiation over $20, sealing the deal that would secure the land for generations to come.
Over the years, the farm changed hands among family members, until Jennifer Garner took the bold step of reclaiming it in 2017. But her vision extended beyond mere nostalgia; she aimed to revitalize the farm into a thriving business once more. To achieve this, she enlisted the expertise of her uncle Robert and aunt Janet, former owners of the farm.
Decades had passed since the farm had seen cultivation. In its heyday, Patricia and her siblings diligently tended to the land, cultivating pecans, lettuce, radishes, and potatoes, which they sold locally. Jennifer aspired to resurrect this tradition, thus birthing “Once Upon a Farm” alongside co-founders Ari Raz, John Foraker, and Cassandra Curtis. The venture aimed to produce organic fruits and vegetables, crafting nutritious meals for children.
Jennifer’s dream materialized in 2018 with the establishment of the company. Since then, “Once Upon a Farm” has flourished, its products gracing the shelves of major retailers nationwide and available for purchase online. Jennifer’s passion for providing busy mothers with access to wholesome, nutritious food remains steadfast, driving the company’s success and impacting countless families across America.
