Meet Trinati, a mom who openly breastfeeds her toddler, despite the disapproving looks she often receives. Sometimes, store employees even ask her to nurse in a closet. But Trinati wasn’t having it. She knew broom closets weren’t suitable places for feeding babies. So, she took matters into her own hands.
Trinati had her son snap a photo of her nursing her baby girl at Costco. Her reasoning? “I always give my kids what they need, no matter where we are.” Admirable, right?

Yet, Trinati faces criticism not just from strangers but from friends and family too. They often joke about how long she’ll continue breastfeeding. Her response? “As long as she needs me!” And no, she’s not planning on nursing her daughter until kindergarten.
Trinati is tired of people sexualizing breastfeeding or passing judgment on her. “Have you seen breastfeeding?” she quips. “My nipples don’t exactly scream ‘fantasy material’!” To her, breastfeeding is about nourishing her child, plain and simple.
“These are basically udders right now,” Trinati jokes. “Get over yourself! I’m not trying to steal anyone’s partner with these ‘bad girls’!” She emphasizes that breastfeeding is purely about meeting her child’s physical and emotional needs.
To normalize breastfeeding in public, Trinati shared a photo of herself nursing her toddler. She wanted to highlight the lengths mothers go to for their children’s well-being, no matter the circumstances.
“My baby’s needs come waaaaaay before anyone else’s attempts to make me feel inappropriate,” she asserts. For Trinati, her children’s welfare always comes first, regardless of others’ opinions.
“Breastfeeding shows my children I care,” Trinati affirms. “So, I won’t feel ashamed for doing it anywhere.”
