Barbra says she ‘can’t live in this country’ if this happens

Barbra Streisand recently sparked debate by defending Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis online. Streisand suggested that conservatives are unfairly targeting Willis by focusing on her personal life.

In a post on X, Streisand expressed her view that Willis is being unjustly criticized for having a personal relationship with Nathan Wade, a subordinate prosecutor she hired to investigate Trump and 18 others accused of racketeering related to Georgia’s 2020 election results.

“How absurd that Republicans want Fani Willis fired. For what? Do they think a woman can’t have both a private and professional life? Men do it all the time! This is just ridiculous,” Streisand wrote on Monday.

She went on to criticize Trump and his allies, saying, “Trump and his supporters are attacking Fani Willis, the DA prosecuting him for trying to overturn Georgia’s election results. Her private relationship with one of the prosecutors has nothing to do with the facts of the case or Trump’s blatant attempt to pressure the Secretary of State to ‘find’ more votes for him and push false electors to Congress. This is just another diversion by Trump.”

Streisand’s comments bring attention to the ongoing discussion about how personal and professional lives intersect, especially in high-profile political and legal situations.
