Tammy Slaton, known from the US reality TV series “1000 Pound Sisters,” has shared the “amazing changes in her life” as she continues to lose weight. At 37, Tammy has captured the hearts of fans by shedding 440 pounds and transforming her outlook on life. Her significant weight loss meant her clothes became too big, necessitating a new wardrobe. Remarkably, she can now walk on her own for the first time in years.
Previously, Tammy’s weight peaked at a daunting 700 pounds. However, after undergoing bariatric surgery, she has reduced her weight to just 280 pounds—a weight she hasn’t seen since her teenage years. “I’ve lost over 100 pounds in the last six months, which is incredible,” Tammy shared. “The last time I weighed this little, I was about 15 or 16 years old. I can’t believe I did it!”
Despite the dramatic weight loss and the resulting excess skin, Tammy remains hopeful that plastic surgery can address these issues. Her fans have praised her transformation and positive attitude, flooding her with supportive comments. One fan noted, “Wow, Tammy has completely transformed. I’ve watched all the seasons.” Another remarked, “She looks different on the outside, but her attitude and behavior have also become much more positive.”
The support from her fans has been overwhelming. One person admitted, “I haven’t cried this much in a long time.” Another commented, “Sometimes the most successful individuals are the ones who are the most stubborn.”
Tammy and her sister Amy Slaton sought help from a bariatric surgeon due to their struggles with weight. Leading sedentary lifestyles, their primary income came from their popular YouTube channel. Now, the Kentucky sisters are dedicated to losing weight, qualifying for surgery, and changing their lives. Since its premiere in January 2020, the reality show has documented their weight loss journey, capturing their emotions, doubts, and triumphs along the way.
