It seems that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s life in the United States has been far from the private existence they initially suggested they wanted. Instead, their lives have been very public, largely due to their deals with Netflix and Spotify. Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” only added to the public’s fascination.
As their children prepare to start kindergarten and preschool, rumors are circulating that the Sussexes are facing some difficulties. Despite their initial desire to integrate into Hollywood’s celebrity scene, it’s been said that many A-listers have kept their distance. Recent reports even claim that Harry’s friends are reluctant to visit him.
Harry has rarely returned to the UK recently. After being evicted from Frogmore Cottage by King Charles, he and Meghan haven’t had a place to call home in Harry’s native country. However, there are whispers that a surprising return might be in the cards, with one royal expert suggesting that Harry is searching for a ‘permanent’ home in the UK for a rather poignant reason.
The move to the US marked a new beginning for Harry and Meghan, far from their royal responsibilities. This transition was significant for the family, then comprised of three. Since then, they’ve welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, who recently turned three.
Despite their wish for a quieter life, their numerous allegations against the Royal Family—publicized in their Oprah Winfrey interview, their Netflix series, various interviews, and notably Harry’s memoir—have kept them in the media spotlight.
The couple has ventured into various business endeavors. Meghan, in particular, has been focusing on developing her own brand. She launched a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchid a few months ago, but it received a lukewarm reception.
The first product from American Riviera Orchid was a new jam. Unfortunately, it was criticized not only for its high price but also for its average taste. Royal expert Tom Quinn shared that Meghan was deeply affected by the “unfair criticism” and was brought to tears over the negative feedback.
“The one setback is Meghan’s new online brand, American Riviera Orchid. She was in tears when her new jam was mocked for being overpriced and unimpressive,” he told the Mirror.
