Sarah Ferguson recently paid tribute to her late friend, Princess Diana, on what would have been her 63rd birthday. On social media platform X, Sarah shared a nostalgic photo of them together, expressing her sentiments: “Happy birthday to my dear friend, Diana. You were a pillar of light and love.
And what a legacy you have left behind. I will forever remember our laughter and the kindred, kind spirit I found in you. I am sure you are watching over us always. Rest in peace my friend.”
In her memoir, “Finding Sarah,” Sarah opened up about her friendship with Diana, acknowledging that it had its ups and downs. She noted that their friendship was strained at times and, unfortunately, they hadn’t spoken for a year before Diana’s untimely death.
Diana passed away in a car accident in 1997 at the age of 36. She had married then-Prince Charles on July 29, 1981, but their marriage faced many challenges, leading to their separation in 1992 and finalizing their divorce in 1996.
