Tina Turner’s Son Arrested for Drug Possession Just Days Before Her Passing

The legendary Tina Turner’s family has been dealing with a difficult situation, as her son Ike Turner Jr. was arrested for drug possession just 18 days before her passing. This news comes as a shock to fans and highlights the struggles the family has faced with substance abuse.

According to reports, Ike Turner Jr., 64, was detained by police in Alvin, Texas, on May 6 for suspicion of possessing crack cocaine and tampering with evidence. He was found with less than a gram of methamphetamine and 1.7 grams of crack cocaine, and allegedly attempted to consume the drugs to hide them from the officers.

This incident is particularly tragic given the family’s history with substance abuse. Ike Turner Sr., Tina Turner’s ex-husband and Ike Jr.’s father, struggled with drug addiction throughout his life and was arrested multiple times for drug-related charges.

He ultimately overdosed on cocaine in 2007.

Tina Turner herself had been dealing with health issues for years, including a kidney transplant in 2017.

Her husband, Erwin Bach, donated the kidney. She passed away on May 24 at the age of 83.

Ike Turner Jr. is currently being held at Brazoria County Jail with a bail set at $70,000. His passenger,

Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, is also facing drug possession charges.

This situation is a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges the Turner family has faced. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time. Share this update with fellow Tina Turner fans to keep them informed about her family’s situation.
