On July 6, a tow truck carrying a mini bulldozer collided with their GMC pickup on Highway 39, resulting in the bulldozer crashing onto their vehicle. Richard, 57, and Sally succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while two other passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
