During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Princess Lilibet had a brief encounter with her grandfather, King Charles. Despite the ongoing family tensions, he made sure to mark her special day with a thoughtful gift.
Royal expert Tom Quinn revealed that King Charles sent a unique present and a heartfelt message to Lilibet on her third birthday. Although he wasn’t invited to the party, he wanted to acknowledge the occasion. Quinn shared, “The king didn’t want to ignore Lilibet’s birthday entirely, so he sent a gift and a message.”
King Charles has a special gift in mind for Lilibet, but it’s on hold until the family feud resolves. He previously gave Prince George a beautiful handmade wooden swing with his name engraved on it. Quinn explained, “The king hopes to give Lilibet something similar, but not this year. Meghan has set clear boundaries on gifts, limiting the king’s options.”
Meanwhile, Lilibet’s birthday party was a star-studded affair, with guests like Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Ellen DeGeneres, and Oprah Winfrey in attendance. Notably, no members of the Royal Family received invitations. Quinn commented, “Shockingly, no Royal Family members were invited to Lilibet’s party.”
Despite the tensions, King Charles’s gesture shows he’s making an effort to connect with his granddaughter. As the family works towards healing, perhaps next year’s birthday will be a chance for a more meaningful celebration.
