During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Princess Lilibet had a brief encounter with her grandfather, King Charles. Despite the ongoing family feud, he made sure to mark her third birthday with a thoughtful gift.
Royal expert Tom Quinn revealed that King Charles sent a unique present and a heartfelt message to Lilibet, even though he wasn’t invited to her birthday party in Montecito, California.
The party, hosted by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, was attended by celebrities like Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, and Ellen DeGeneres, but noticeably absent were members of the Royal Family.
Quinn shared that King Charles hopes to give Lilibet a special gift in the future, similar to the handmade wooden swing he gave Prince George. However, due to the family tensions and Meghan’s gift boundaries, he has limited options for now.
Lilibet’s party was a grand celebration with many A-list guests, but the absence of Royal Family members was striking. Quinn noted that no invitations were sent to the Royal Family, highlighting the ongoing rift.
Despite the tensions, King Charles’s gesture shows his desire to maintain a connection with his granddaughter. As the family works towards healing and reconciliation, perhaps future birthdays will bring more opportunities for meaningful gifts and celebrations.
