Clara’s solo business trip was supposed to be a career-defining moment. She had spent months preparing for this meeting with investors, and her partner Malcolm had faith in her abilities. But little did she know, it would also become a turning point in her personal life.
As she checked into the luxurious hotel, Clara noticed a familiar face – a woman she had sat next to on the plane. As she waited for the final verdict on her business deal, Clara felt a sense of empowerment. She knew bigger things were coming, but she couldn’t believe Tom’s actions. He didn’t care, and he wasn’t going to fight to make their marriage work.
In the end, Clara had her career and the opportunities that lay ahead. She phoned Malcolm, giving him a full update on the presentation and everything Grant had told her. “Now we wait,” he said. Clara repeated the phrase, hanging up the phone.
